NEW DELHI: Domestic wearable brand Play has expanded its smartwatch lineup with the launch of Playfit dial and Playfit XL smartwatches. Both the smartwatches come with a touchscreen LCD display and waterproof design. The wearables offer multiple sports modes and Bluetooth calling functionality.
Price and availability
The Palyfit XL comes in Steel Gray color option and it is priced at Rs 2,999. On the other hand, the Playfit Dial can be purchased in Gold color options and it comes with a price tag of Rs 3,999. Both the smartwatches will be available on the company’s website and on Amazon.in starting today.
Features
Talking about the features, the Playfit Dial sports a 1.68-inch display, while the Playfit XL features a 1.75-inch display. Both the smartwatches come with multiple sports modes, a heart rate and SpO2 monitor.
The smartwatches are also capable of tracking sleep and come with Bluetooth calling functionality. Playfit XL comes with IP68 rating, which makes the device water-resistant. On the other hand, Playfit Dial comes with IP67 rating, which promises to protect it from dust and water.
Playfit XL comes with a plastic body and metal like-coating. The company claims that the smartwatch can deliver up to 15 days of battery life on a single charge.
On the other hand, Playfit Dial claims to offer 5 days of battery life on a single charge.
A recent report by Counterpoint revealed that India’s smartwatch market saw a record growth of over 274% YoY in 2021 shipments. Domestic brand Noise led the market in 2021 with a 27% share and over 278% YoY growth.
While Noise emerged as the market leader, Boat captured second place with a 26% market share with Storm as its best-selling smartwatch. Boat was actually the market leader in Q4 2021, Fire Bolt took the third spot, with more than 20 smartwatch models across price points. Realme got fourth place with a 23% YoY growth in 2021, while Amazfit rounded off the top five with 65% YoY growth.
