SpiceJet flight SG-725’s engine caught fire at Patna airport on Sunday. The plane was going from Patna to Delhi. The flight has made a safe landing after the fire. Smoke started coming out of the engine due to the fire.
The plane took off at 11.55 pm on Sunday. At 12.20, the plane caught fire with an explosion. After 10 minutes, the pilot consciously landed the plane at the airport.
The DGCA said that the engine caught fire after the bird collided. After this the plane made a safe landing.

There were 185 passengers on board the flight. The flight has been landed safely. For now, the passengers have been evacuated. There is no report of anyone getting injured. Officials say that it will be clear only after investigation that due to which the engine caught fire.

According to eyewitnesses to the incident, there was a loud explosion as soon as the airport took off. The sound was so loud that everyone was shocked. Then the flames started rising. There was chaos in the airport.
Officials said – there may be a case of bird hitting
Immediately after the incident, all the senior officers of Patna reached the airport. SSP Manavjit Singh Dhillon said that a wing of the aircraft had caught fire. DM Chandrashekhar Singh told that it could be a case of bird hit, investigation is being done at present.

The passenger sitting on the flight said that a spark could be seen coming out of the window. We were sitting at the window side. The spark of fire was clearly visible. During this, the pilot said – the situation is under control. Then came to life.

The female passenger told that after 10-15 minutes of take off, she understood, something is wrong. There was a lot of noise in the flight. The plane was turning right and sometimes left. She was very scared for a while.
