Updates will be installed automatically when connected to Android 10 devices or higher. For older devices, users will need the Pixel Buds app to install the update. Google has also provided an option to install the update manually, if it doesn’t happen automatically.
The most important change that the update brings is the new bass slider that allows users to choose from four stage bass levels. Just to note, the Pixel Buds A-Series previously had a bass boost option, but it was just a toggle to turn it on or off. The new option will allow users to fine-tune the bass effect from the earbuds.
Another major change is in terms of connectivity. The Pixel Buds A-series will now automatically switch back to the second connected device if it fails to connect to the last connected device. For example, if you were using Pixel Buds A Series With a tablet and Bluetooth turned off somehow or the tablet isn’t available to you at the moment, it will automatically connect to your smartphone if it was previously connected to the tablet.
