How to Check EPFO Balance Through EPFO Website

Then click on the option ‘Member Passbook’ under ‘Services’ where you will have to provide your UAN number and password to view your passbook.
You must have an active UAN to use this service and it will not be available if your Universal Account Number has not been activated by your employer.
– If you do not have UAN, then click on epfoservices.in/epfo/ link and select your state before clicking on you office link.
Enter your PF account number, name and registered mobile number and click on ‘Submit’. You will be able to check your PF balance.
How to Check EPFO Balance Through SMS
– EPFO members, whose UAN is registered with the retirement body, can get details of their most recent contribution and provident fund balance through SMS.
– All you have to do is send SMS to 7738299899 with the text “EPFOHO UAN ENG”. Here ‘ENG’ refers to the first three letters of the language of your choice, in this case English. If you want to receive SMS in Tamil, you can type ‘TAM’ for Bengali, ‘BEN’ for Hindi, ‘HIN’ for Hindi etc. The service is available in 10 different languages.
In this regard, you must also not forget to sync your UAN with your bank account, Aadhaar and PAN, as EPFO stores the details of its members. You can also ask your employer to do the seeding for you.

If you are registered on the UAN portal then you will be provided with the details. You do not need to remember your UAN in this regard.

Employees can use the government’s UMANG app to check their provident fund balance. The app launched by the Center can be used to avail various government services under the umbrella. Using this, you can view your EPF passbook, claim your provident fund and even track your claim. An employee just needs to register on the app using the mobile number.
