Petrol price today increased to Rs 108.99 in Delhi, Rs 114.81 in Mumbai; check fuel rates

Meanwhile, the case of diesel rates remained the same here as well. The cost of one liter of diesel is Rs 105.86. As per the price notification by OMCs, it went up to 35 paise.

Petrol prices have also increased in the national capital of India, Delhi. A liter of petrol can be bought in this city for Rs 108.99. Thus, the prices increased by 35 paise. Diesel prices have also increased the same way. According to the Indian Oil Corporation, the price of one liter of diesel in Delhi is Rs 97.22.

Like every day, on Friday also the rates of petrol and diesel were revised by oil marketing companies like Hindustan Petroleum, Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum. The new rates were implemented as usual at 6 am. Fuel prices vary across states and cities, due in part to value-added tax or VAT, local and freight charges, which vary from place to place. The price of petrol and diesel also depends on the crude oil prices and rupee-dollar exchange rates in the global markets.

In Kolkata, a liter of petrol was available at Rs 109.46, which was up to 34 paise. Diesel was available at Rs 100.84 per liter in this eastern metro city. In Kolkata, the price of diesel was increased by 35 paise on Saturday. The price of this fuel had crossed the Rs 100 mark on Thursday.

In the southern city of Chennai, a liter of petrol was being sold at Rs 105.74 on Friday. Diesel was priced at Rs 101.92 per litre.

Crude oil prices in the United States closed higher on Friday, after falling earlier in the day, amid speculation that the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, Russia, and their allies, known as OPEC+, may Will keep the cut. Brent crude rose 6 cents to $84.38, while US West Texas Intermediate crude rose 76 cents, or 0.9%, to $83.57, according to Reuters.
