Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Fuel prices remain stable for the fourth day as well. check rates

Apart from the metros of the country, the price of petrol has crossed Rs 100 in many other cities. In Bhopal, petrol consumers have to pay Rs 109.63 per liter, while diesel consumers have to pay Rs 97.57 per litre. Petrol in Jaipur is being sold at Rs 107.81 per liter and diesel at Rs 97.47 per liter which is less than Wednesday’s Rs 98.02 per liter.

Fuel prices across the country vary due to a number of factors including transportation, freight charges, VAT, excise duties and taxes. Petrol and diesel prices are also frequently revised by oil marketing companies (OMCs) such as Shell, Exxon Mobil, Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil and Hindustan Petroleum. The revision in fuel prices is based on the average price of the benchmark fuel in the international market over the past fortnight and foreign exchange rates. International crude oil prices which are further influenced by natural and political events around the world also play a major role in influencing local fuel prices.
