Petrol, diesel prices drop sharply after Center cuts excise duty; Check fuel prices today

Petrol, Diesel Price Cut: On Sunday, June 5, the price of petrol remained stable for two weeks, while the price of diesel also remained unchanged on that day. This follows the Centre’s orders to cut excise duty, which has resulted in a fall in petrol prices, as well as diesel prices, providing relief to the common man from inflationary pressures. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman last month announced a record reduction in excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 8 per liter and on diesel by Rs 6 per liter respectively as fuel rates hit an all-time high.
