Petrol, diesel latest prices announced today: Know how much you will have to pay in your city

Petrol Diesel Price Today: New rates of petrol and diesel have been released and there has been no change in the prices for the 12th consecutive day. The cheapest petrol is being sold in Port Blair for Rs 91.45, while the country’s most expensive petrol is being sold at Rs 123.47 per liter in Parbhani, Maharashtra. At the same time, diesel in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh is Rs 107.68 per liter.

The latest price of petrol was Rs 105.41 per liter in the national capital and Rs 120.51 per liter in Mumbai. Diesel was priced at Rs 96.67 per liter in Delhi and Rs 104.77 per liter in Mumbai. In Kolkata, petrol was priced at Rs 115.12 per liter, while diesel was being sold at Rs 99.83 per litre. The price of petrol in Chennai was Rs 110.85 per liter, while the retail price of diesel was Rs 100.94 per litre.

Fuel prices in the country are revised on a daily basis based on international crude oil prices and foreign exchange fluctuations. Price revision was put on hold for four months from November last year. It reintroduced the amendment on March 22 after the election results of four states were declared. Within a fortnight of the back-to-back hikes after March 22, the fuel price saw an overall hike of Rs 10 per litre.

Meanwhile, auto, taxi and cab driver associations in Delhi have called for a two-day strike from today to protest the rising prices of fuel and CNG. While most unions said they would go on a one-day strike against the hike in fuel prices in the country, the Sarvodaya Drivers Association Delhi, which has members who drive for cab aggregators, said it would go on an “indefinite” strike from Monday .

Jet fuel prices rose by Rs 277.5 per kl, or 0.2 per cent, to Rs 1,13,202.33 per kl (Rs 113.2 per liter) in the national capital on Saturday, according to a price notification by state-owned fuel retailers.

As the Ukraine crisis deepens supply concerns, oil prices rose on Monday. Brent futures were up $1.50, or 1.3 percent, at $113.20 a barrel by 0030 GMT, and US West Texas Intermediate futures were up 98 cents, or 0.9 percent, to $107.93 a barrel, Reuters reported.
