Petrol, diesel, CNG prices increased on the second day also; Check Latest Rates

New Delhi: There is no sign of reduction in fuel prices as the prices were hiked for the second consecutive day on Thursday after crossing the Rs 100 mark in metro cities. According to oil companies, this was the sixth hike in July, making petrol costlier by 35 paise in the national capital, while diesel by 9 paise.

After the latest hike, petrol in the national capital has touched a record high of Rs 100.56 per liter in Delhi, while diesel is currently selling at Rs 89.62. Petrol in Mumbai is being sold at Rs 106.59 per liter, while diesel has reached Rs 97.18 per litre.

Meanwhile, CNG and PNG prices were also revised on Thursday after Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) informed about the hike.

The retail price of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi has been revised from Rs 43.40 per kg to Rs 44.30 per kg with effect from July 8. At the same time, the domestic price of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) is going to be Rs 29.66 per SCM (Standard Cubic Meter).

In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, CNG retail price has been revised to Rs 49.98 per kg from Rs 49.08 per kg from today, while domestic price of PNG has gone up to Rs 29.61 per scm.

“CNG will offer savings of 68 per cent over petrol and 50 per cent savings over diesel at revised prices in Delhi,” IGL said in a tweet.
