TV actor Pearl V Puri took to Instagram for the first time after his arrest in an alleged rape case. He was arrested on June 4 and was granted bail on June 15 after spending 11 days in judicial custody.
Pearl wrote, “Life has its own way of testing people! I lost my maternal grandmother a few months ago, then on the 17th day I lost my dad that my mother got cancer and then this terrible allegation. The last few weeks were like a nightmare for me. I was made to feel like a criminal overnight. All this in the midst of my mother’s cancer treatment, it shattered my sense of security, leaving me feeling helpless. I am still numb…but I thought it was time to reach out to my friends, fans and well wishers who have showered me with their love, support and concern. Thank you for placing your faith in me and I am a firm believer of #SatyamevaJayate. I have faith in the law, judiciary and God of my country. Please keep your prayers coming.”
His friends and co-stars from the TV industry extended their support to the actor by taking to the comment section of the post.
Pearl was arrested on June 4 under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act for allegedly raping a minor girl.
