Actress Payal Rohatgi is all set to tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend wrestler Sangram Singh. Their wedding will take place on July 9 in Agra. In an exclusive chat with News18 Shosha, the Lock Up runner-up revealed that their wedding will be a private ceremony which will be attended by only her close family members. Payal also shared that no industry friend or colleague will be invited to the wedding to be held in Agra.
“It’s a very private family gathering – just his family and my family,” she said. The actress further added, “Pre-wedding and no friends in the wedding, I want it to be just family and he (Sangram) too.”
Payal also revealed that they will be hosting a reception party on July 14 in Delhi where all their friends will be invited. “We are trying to ensure that we are with the family for the wedding and pre-wedding functions. After that we will invite everyone for the reception to be held in Delhi on 14th July. So, when the reception will take place in Delhi, but the wedding and pre-wedding will be limited to the family,” she shared.
“At the reception in Delhi, everyone who knows us and wishes us all the best will be invited. From political leaders in Delhi to their friends, we plan to hold receptions in Mumbai as well. We are ascertaining the date and place. In Delhi, all friends who know Sangram – and he knows a lot of people – will all be invited,” she said.
When asked if she would invite Bollywood actress and Lock Up host Kangana Ranaut as well, Payal said, “I will obviously make sure that I send an invitation to her sister Rangoli and if she is in Delhi, she will be given a chance. Would love to see reception. He is kind and I am kind. This is a good opportunity and we should forget the past.”
