According to reports, Pawan Kalyan has teamed up with director Venu Udugula for his next film. Sithara Entertainment will produce the film, reports suggest. However, fans of Pawan Kalyan will have to wait for the official confirmation.
Venu Udugula’s first directorial venture, Needi Nadi OK Katha, was released in 2018. The film starred Sri Vishnu and Satna Titus in lead roles, while Posani Krishna Murali and Devi Prasad appeared in supporting roles.
The film was praised by critics for its realistic narration. Made on a budget of Rs 2.5 crore, Needhi Nadi OK Katha proved to be a profitable venture as the film earned Rs 12.3 crore at the box office.
Venu Udugula has also directed Rana Daggubati-starrer Virata Parvam. The film was scheduled to release in India in April 2021, but was postponed due to the rise in Covid-19 cases. The plot of Virata Parvam is based on the backdrop of the Naxalite movement in the Telangana region in the 1990s.
Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan awaits the release of Hari Har Veera Mallu. The film will hit the theaters on April 29 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
The story of Hari Har Veera Mallu is set in the 17th century under Mughal rule. The period action-adventure film is directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Pawan Kalyan is playing the character of Titanic in the film. He will portray the life of veteran dacoit Veera Mallu on screen. The film also stars Nidhi Agarwal, Arjun Rampal and Nargis Fakhri.
The film was initially scheduled to release worldwide in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages on January 14, 2022, on the occasion of Sankranti. However, the release date was rescheduled in September 2021 to 29 April 2022.
Pawan Kalyan’s latest release was Bhimla Nayak. The film was a huge hit and earned Rs 192 crore at the box office.
