Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan is breaking records at the box office. After a long drought in Hindi cinema barring a few films like Brahmastra and Drishyam 2, the Yash Raj spy-thriller has given the right hope to the entertainment industry. With the film crossing the Rs 500 crore mark at the box office, Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Films are as ambitious as ever about their espionage universe. Though it has been more than a month since the film released, it is definitely a big achievement for him. If SacNilk’s box office estimates are to be believed, Pathan earned Rs 1.20 crore on the sixth Friday of its run, taking the film’s nett collection to Rs 528.89 crore. Helped by several lucrative deals like buy one offer and low ticket pricing in the domestic market, Pathan’s lifetime collection stands at Rs 1026 crore, including Rs 640 crore from India and Rs 386 crore from the overseas market. Earlier, trade analyst Taran Adarsh had given an important update regarding the box office collection of Pathan. Pathan is an essential part of Yash Raj Films’ espionage universe which already includes adrenaline-pumping films like Tiger Zinda Hai and War. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer also features John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Ashutosh Rana and Deepika Padukone in pivotal roles. The film premiered on 25 January.
