Dr Bishav Mohan, who was part of the team of doctors treating Badal, confirmed that his RT-PCR report was positive and he had mild symptoms like mild fever, sore throat, cold and cough.
“Since he is an elderly person with comorbidities, he is in the hospital so that his health can be monitored,” said Dr Mohan, professor of cardiology at DMCH.
Shiromani Akali Dal leader and party’s candidate from Ludhiana West Maheshinder Singh Grewal said that Badal Sr. is looked after by a government doctor round the clock, but a team of doctors at DMCH is monitoring his health.
