Parineeti Chopra has expressed her willingness to become a spokesperson for talented actors who often find themselves marginalised in the industry.

Parineeti Chopra is basking in the success of her latest film Amar Singh Chamkila. The actress has been receiving a lot of praise for her stunning portrayal of Amarjot Kaur in the biographical film alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Amidst the good reviews, the actress shared her hope of receiving more promising opportunities after working on Imtiaz Ali’s film. In a recent interview, she also expressed her desire to serve as a spokesperson for the budding actors who find themselves sidelined in the industry.

While speaking to Pinkvilla, Parineeti Chopra shared, “I admit that I’m bad at PR, but I hope that my opportunities don’t suffer because of that. Because of that, I say that maybe I don’t get the due that I believe that I deserve but I truly want to be the spokesperson for this entire group of talented actors who are sitting at home and want to say ‘Listen please do reach out to us, give us opportunities that we want, give us the work we want, we are the same actor. Honestly, I hope that people don’t judge me by a few choices that I made. They were bad choices. I am learning and hope that they give me opportunities again.”

When questioned about experiencing rejection both within and outside the industry, Parineeti Chopra shared that she envisions herself capable of achieving more than her current circumstances permit. She added, “I feel that I can do much more, give much more but my problem is that my PR game sucks, I’m very bad at PR. I’m very bad at having those relationships with the right people and I’m very bad at making those calls, going to lunches and dinners and parties, and creating those situations.”

In Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, the narrative delves into the captivating lives of pop star duo Amar Singh Chamkila and Amarjot Kaur, renowned for their record-breaking music and unforgettable live performances during the 1980s. In this film, Diljit masterfully portrays the central character of Amar Singh Chamkila, while Parineeti beautifully brings to life the role of Chamkila’s wife, Amarjot Kaur.

On the professional front, Parineeti Chopra will be gracing the screen in Director Karan Sharma’s upcoming film Shiddat 2, where she’ll share the screen with Sunny Kaushal and Amyra Dastur. Additionally, audiences can look forward to her performance in Anurag Singh’s upcoming thriller, Sanki. The film also features Varun Dhawan and Arjun Panchal.
