Villagers were seen defecating in the open. The husband of the Pradhan, who was elected on the women’s seat, was seen running the politics of the village and the secretary was seen. While studying in college, dreaming of doing something big, he came to Phulera village. On the pretext of a motorcycle journey from Phulera to Fakauli Bazaar, the series showcased all that can be considered a true mirror of the ‘development’ in the country. In the era of quintals and tons, season one of TVF’s web series ‘Panchayat’ took the viewers to the India where the cloth of worship still takes a yard and where the puri in the procession is still made on the basis of flour filled with flour.
