PAN-Aadhaar Linking Deadline Ends Tomorrow: Here’s How To Do It

New Delhi: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is postponing the PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline several times beyond March 31, 2022. The current deadline to link your PAN card with Aadhaar card is June 30, 2023, after which the financial document will become inactive.

However, a point to note is that even though the deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar is June 30, there is a fine of Rs 1,000 for those who have not linked the two important documents. After the original deadline of March 31, 2022, Aadhaar and PAN could not be linked till June 30, 2022 without paying a fine of Rs 500. Later this fine was increased to Rs 1,000 with effect from July 1, 2022. Though the PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline was once again extended from March 31 to June 30, 2023, yet the amount remains the same.
