Palestinian teen killed in IDF fire

A 17-year-old Palestinian boy was seriously injured by IDF fire during a clash in the city of Nabi Saleh on Friday. Western coast (Samaria) on Friday, Palestinian media reported. On Saturday afternoon, 17-year-old Muhammad al-Tamimi was cremated, N12 reported.

The IDF said that after a suspect threw stones in a manner that put the life of one of the soldiers in danger, the constable responded with live fire.

The incident will be investigated, the IDF said in a statement.

The clashes at Nabi Saleh were the result of a Palestinian protest against the extension of the nearby Israeli settlement, which they consider their land.

The IDF did not comment further, saying that two Israeli soldiers suffered minor injuries.

Palestinian photojournalist Ayman al-Nubani was reportedly present at the clash in Betaa to cover the incident, but was hit and wounded with rubber bullets when Israeli forces attempted to disperse the crowd.
