Talking to Masti, Palak revealed that she could never make it big on television. The actress said, ‘I knew that I wanted to do films. I think my mother did TV for so many years and she managed and did everything very well. There’s nothing left for me to do. And there will be comparisons anyway, but I feel I never got a chance in TV. It was comparatively a bit difficult for me to enter films, but TV is my mother’s legacy. So it was very easy for me, I got a lot of offers. But I didn’t want to do that.”

In a separate conversation with Bombay Times, Palak Tiwari recalled her mother’s struggles before emerging as a TV star. She had told the portal, “My mother has seen everything, and her graph is tremendous. It has seen exponential growth in every sense of the word. and enhancement of quality of life. When she started out, she lived in a chawl-like one-bedroom space. My maternal grandfather, my grandmother, my maternal uncle and my mother lived there, which was just one bedroom and that’s where my mother started.”

He added, “So she really understands that nothing should be taken for granted because it doesn’t come easily. People aren’t born with a silver spoon. And I think that’s what I learned a lot about my mom.” What is commendable is that they realized that this is not the life I want for my future generations, and they made sure that. And my grandmother, although she could not support my mother, Yet she did the next best thing to support him in every way she knew how.”
