Top sources in the FIA told News18 that the federal probe agency has formed a four-member team for the arrest and will take the help of the Lahore Police.
Top FIA sources told CNN-News18 on Monday that Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency has decided to arrest PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan in a banned funding case.
Sources said the agency has formed a four-member team to make the arrests and the Lahore police will cooperate in this.
He added that a summary has been sent to the Director General of the FIA for final approval.
Meanwhile, a large number of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers are present outside Zaman Park.
This is with regard to the expected appearance of Imran Khan in the Lahore High Court for security bail.
The LHC had ordered the former PM to appear in person at 2 pm but he was yet to show up till last reports came in.
PTI sources said that Imran Khan is likely to be arrested by the FIA in another case during his stay in Lahore.
Imran Khan’s junior lawyers told the court that they have security concerns and there is a huge gathering of PTI workers outside Zaman Park.
The LHC briefly adjourned the hearing. As per latest reports, the judge was waiting for Imran Khan and his senior lawyers to arrive.

FIA has registered a case against Imran Khan and 10 others for receiving foreign donations.
The First Information Report (FIR) states that the accused, including the former PM, violated the Foreign Exchange Act and all the named persons were beneficiaries of the private bank account.
