The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered a Pakistani boat from the Sutlej river in Punjab’s Ferozepur. The boat was empty at the time of recovery. Security agencies have started investigation. Because of the claim of being a Pakistani boat
This boat is claimed to be of Pakistan, because the place where the boat was found, the Sutlej river enters India back from Pakistan. In such a situation, the boat has come with the flow from Pakistan side. Although this boat came suddenly or was it brought here intentionally for some purpose? Its investigation is on. BSF has not yet given any official statement on this.

After leaving the Harike barrage, the Sutlej river enters Pakistan via Hussainiwala. After that the route of the river is ‘zigzag’. After entering Pakistan from Hussainiwala, the Sutlej river comes back into India at 7 places in Ferozepur and Fazilka districts and then drains into Pakistan.
BSF started search operation
The BSF has started the search operation after the Pakistani boat was found in the Sutlej river. The BSF team is busy scouting the surrounding areas. It is being ascertained whether some people did not come into the Indian border through this boat. However, nothing has come to fruition so far.
Do not try to send drugs and weapons somewhere
The possibility of sending drugs and weapons from Pakistan to the Indian border through this boat cannot be ruled out. Since the drones coming from Pakistan are now the target of security agencies. The BSF’s radius in Punjab has also been increased to 50 km from the International Border. In such a situation, apart from the drone, nothing objectionable was sent by boat, it is being investigated from this angle. The BSF team is looking in the surrounding areas to see if there are any footprints. Earlier in the year 2018 also a similar boat has been found.
Center’s high level inquiry committee today in Ferozepur district
The Pakistani boat has been recovered on such an occasion when the High Level Committee of the Central Government has reached Ferozepur to investigate the lapse in the security of the PM. In this, Security Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs Sudhir Kumar, Joint Director of IB Balbir Singh and IG of SPG S. Suresh is included.
Firozpur is sensitive district
Firozpur is a very sensitive district due to its proximity to the Pakistan border. The place where the PM’s convoy had stopped is also just 50 km away from the Pakistan border. Tiffin bombs and explosives have been found many times in this area. Even before Diwali in November, police had recovered tiffin bombs from a village on the Indo-Pak border. Hand grenades have also been recovered from here.
