At least three soldiers were killed and 20 others were injured in a suicide attack near a vehicle of security forces in Pakistan’s northwestern region. The police gave this information on Saturday.

The incident took place in the country’s North Waziristan tribal district when a suicide bomber riding a bomb-laden tricycle rammed a security forces vehicle carrying employees of a petroleum company.

Talking about the incident, a senior police officer said, “The three-wheeler of security forces on duty with MPCL Petroleum Company was rammed by a suicide bomber at Khajori Chowk in North Waziristan tribal district bordering Afghanistan . Three soldiers were killed and 20 others were injured.”

The personnel of the petroleum company were going back to their resting place amid tight security after hours of duty when the assailant ambushed a vehicle of the force.

MPCL company is engaged in oil exploration in the area.
