The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday arrested two people from different places after getting strong evidence of their involvement in terrorist activities. According to the statement released by the anti-terror group, two persons – Khalid Mubarak Khan, 21, were arrested from Thane West, Maharashtra – while the other – 26-year-old Abdullah was arrested from Tamil Nadu.

The probe group claimed that the two were thoroughly brainwashed by Pakistan-based terror organizations and that they were about to flee to the neighboring country to receive proper training. Two pistols, 10 live cartridges, a knife and a wire cutter have been recovered from their possession.

According to the statement, “The Special Cell was acting on inputs that some persons were being radicalized on social media by Pak-based handlers and instructed to undergo arms training in Pakistan before carrying out terror attacks in India.” went.”

“On 14.02.2023, information was received that some radicalized persons, pledging allegiance to a terrorist module, would be coming to Delhi via Mumbai to carry out some illegal activity and with the help of their Pakistan based handlers would be going to Pakistan for terrorist training ” They have sophisticated illegal weapons and will reach near the Ring Road towards the rear of the Red Fort.”

Accordingly, a team of Special Cell acted on the information and according to the investigating agency, both the accused persons were arrested in a swift and clinical operation. Further, it was noted that the nodes of the network are being identified and an investigation is underway to ascertain the terror angle as well as the involvement of the accused persons.
