Imran Khan is no longer the ‘Captain’ of Pakistan. Even Imran Khan could not complete his five-year term. However, this is not the first time this has happened in Pakistan. Earlier in the year 1993, Nawaz Sharif’s recommendation to dissolve Parliament was also approved. But he was defeated in the subsequent elections. In 2008, Pervez Musharraf jumped into the electoral fray by abolishing martial law, but the public did not accept him. Musharraf then fled the country.
Till date in the history of Pakistan, no Prime Minister has been able to complete his term, nor has any Prime Minister been able to return to power for the second time in a row. Therefore, it is difficult for Imran Khan to return to power in Pakistan.
