According to Pakistani media reports, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the suspension of flights to and from Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan.

According to Reuters, Islamabad said there had been “heavy-handed” interference by Taliban officials, including arbitrary rule changes and intimidation of employees.

The move comes after the Taliban asked a private airline to cut ticket prices, which are on par with the fares before the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.

Earlier, the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Administration said that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Kama Air, a private Afghan airline, would be banned from operating flights from Kabul to Islamabad if they were to do the same as before the Taliban takeover. Don’t charge the price.

According to the Khama Press report, the administration said in a statement that both the airlines will be fined and they will be punished for violating the rules.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan warned airlines that Pakistani flag carrier PIA began charging up to $2,500 for each ticket from Kabul to Islamabad.

The statement also asked people to cooperate with the administration in reporting violations of the new rules.

He has asked people to report document violations.
