Pakistan and Sri Lanka To Co-Host Asia Cup 2023, India vs Pak in SL: Report

In light of the reluctance of India and Pakistan to travel to each other’s countries due to ongoing political tensions between the governments of the two countries, the proposal of a hybrid model emerged as a viable solution. The move will also ensure that the PCB can retain the hosting rights for the continental event.

The report further states that PCB chief Najam Sethi presented the details of the hybrid model to Oman Cricket chief and ACC vice-president Pankaj Khimji at a meeting in Dubai a few weeks ago.

With the possible acceptance of the hybrid model, there is a possibility of an agreement that could make it easier for Pakistan to travel to India for the ICC World Cup.
