He said that infiltration attempts are made to fill terrorist ranks and raise the graph of terrorism which is on the decline.

Director General of Police Dilbag Singh on Saturday said Pakistan is trying to push more terrorists, drugs and weapons into Jammu and Kashmir where the terrorism graph is falling and security agencies are determined to eliminate militancy.

He termed the recovery of seven kilograms of heroin and arms and ammunition worth over Rs two crore from the house of a notorious drug peddler near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district as a major success. The Union Territory is working extensively to dismantle the entire support structure of terrorism.

The DGP told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Samba district, “We have stopped infiltration (of terrorists) through underground (tunnels) and overground, but Pakistan is still continuing to push a large number of terrorists into this side.” Trying.’ ,

However, the police along with other security agencies is alert to foil any attempt to disturb peace and is committed to eliminate terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir, Singh said.

He said that strict action would be taken against anyone trying to disturb the peaceful atmosphere.

Referring to the seizure of drugs and money in Poonch on Friday, he said the police and other security agencies have “achieved huge success in the fight against narco-terrorism”.

He said, “This nefarious act of Pakistan was to keep terrorism alive… Security agencies are taking strong action against drug peddlers and investigation is on to unearth the entire conspiracy and bring the culprits to justice.” “

Singh said that inter-state connections are beginning to emerge during the investigation of the case, which has international ramifications as “a few dollars were also seized”.

The DGP said that Pakistan is trying to send more consignments of drugs and weapons and is trying to attract youth towards militancy by handing over smuggled weapons.

“Proceeds of drug trade are used to fund terrorism, some drug peddlers are used as couriers and overground workers to create support infrastructure for terrorists. We are working in a big way to eliminate the entire supporting infrastructure of terrorism, which is our duty and we are working on it.
