Owaisi was addressing a rally in Mumbra area of Thane district of Maharashtra during his party’s national convention on Saturday.
“If Ajit Pawar, Supriya Sule, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Eknath Shinde and Devendra Fadnavis can become leaders, why not you?” He asked the youth of the Muslim community.
He said that AIMIM was formed 65 years ago and only a few people used to attend its meetings, but now this number has reached thousands.
“We also have a presence in Parliament, state legislatures and local bodies and this growth should continue and youth should also try to get involved in governance through elections,” he said.
He asked the youth to come forward, strengthen AIMIM and fight for the rights of Muslims and Dalits.

“You cannot buy everyone with money, we still have some people who are loyal to us and with them we will defeat you,” he said without naming anyone.
The AIMIM leader said that he cannot be bought on the strength of money.
