New Delhi: While tensions are increasing in the country regarding the new corona variant Omicron, the good news is that the vaccination campaign against Kovid-19 is progressing rapidly.
The vaccination campaign has been successful because of public awareness and government practices. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted on Monday that 85 percent of the country’s population has received at least one dose of the Kovid-19 vaccine.
He also pointed out that 50 percent of the country’s population has been fully vaccinated with two doses. The Health Ministry said, till 7 pm on Monday, more than 71 lakh doses of vaccines have been administered. A total of more than 128.66 crore doses have been given in the country so far.

The National Technical Advisory Group met on Monday to discuss additional doses of the Kovid-19 vaccine along with the vaccination of children. However, no decision has been taken on both the subjects yet.
He also said, “Follow all COVID-19 guidelines and maintain social distancing.” The Kovid-19 vaccination campaign was launched on 16 January this year.
