The release also stated that Center 54,04,78,610 doses of vaccine have been provided to stateshandjob union territories Until now. It said that 2,55,54,533 remaining and unutilized doses are still available with states, UTs and private hospitals and 1,09,83,510 more are in the pipeline.
According to the government the consumption of the dosage so far is 52,00,96,418.
The central government also said that it is committed to accelerate the pace and expand the coverage of vaccination across the country. The new phase of universalization of vaccination has started from 21st June this year.

As part of the nationwide immunization drive, the government said, it is supporting states and union territories by providing them with free vaccines.
