Out of 33 Laborers of Jharkhand Stuck in Mali, 6 Return Homeland Safely

A year ago, workers of Jharkhand had gone to Mali through a local contractor to work in the transmission line, where during the work, the workers had stopped getting the salary for the remaining three and a half months after paying the wages for eight months. Many kinds of problems were also coming before the workers. From eating and drinking, he had to suffer torture. Regarding this, the workers, sharing their problems on the social media platform, had requested the Government of India and the Government of Jharkhand to return to their homeland.

Lack of employment in Jharkhand

Taking this seriously, the Government of India, by contacting the Indian Embassy through the Ministry of External Affairs, had told the company to resolve the problem of the workers. However, the problem of food and drink to the workers, the company also paid their outstanding salaries and the work of sending them home is being done through the company itself. The returned workers told that due to lack of employment in Jharkhand, we workers are compelled to work abroad.
