Shaunak Sen wrote, “We are all in shock, relief and confusion. Heartfelt thanks to our characters, the entire film crew and collaborators. We’re all a little at a loss for words – but for now the main thing to note is that it only happened because everyone working on it somehow changed the world to get the movie to the finishing line. I’m still wrapping my head around it. Congratulations on all the other great movies!” His official statement was shared along with the stunning poster of the documentary with graphics of the nomination. Take a look at the post here:

Meanwhile, two brothers work hard and dedicate their entire lives to protect the majestic bird species, the black kite, from extinction.

Earlier, the documentary has received prestigious awards at various festivals. The list includes winning the Grierson Award at the BFI London Film Festival and the Best Documentary Award at Semency. ‘All That Breathes’ also received nominations at independent awards such as the Gotham, IDA Awards and Critics’ Choice Awards. In addition, it captured top awards at notable film festivals including Sundance and Cannes. The documentary was released in over 30 theaters in the UK and in several cineplexes across the United States. It has also been officially acquired by HBO Documentary Films.

In the Oscar nominations announced on Tuesday, RRR’s Naatu Naatu and The Elephant Whispers grabbed nods in the Best Original Music and Documentary Short Film categories, respectively.
