Jaishankar tweeted, “Operation Ganga Vikas. In the last 24 hours now six flights have left for India. Including the first flights from Poland. 1377 more Indian nationals brought back from Ukraine.”
Meanwhile, the government has deployed ‘special envoys’ to four neighboring countries bordering Ukraine to coordinate and monitor the evacuation process of Indian nationals. Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will oversee the evacuation efforts in Hungary, Union Law and Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju in Slovakia, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia in Romania while General (Retd) VK Singh in Poland.
