A civilian IDF employee was lightly injured after stepping on a landmine in the southern Golan Heights near the border with Jordan on Monday morning, according to a statement from the Jordan Valley Regional Council which was later confirmed by the IDF.
The individual was working as part of an initiative to clear landmines from the area.
The person was taken to Baruch Padeh Medical Center in Poriya.
