Bengaluru: Karnataka reported five more covid-19 case Of omicron According to Health Minister K Sudhakar, the state tally rose to 19 on Monday.

New strain found in six districts
In the Udupi cluster, an 11-year-old boy tested positive in the last week of November. After that, four primary contacts were tested and three turned out to be Covid positive. Their samples were sent for genomic sequencing,” said a health official.
The woman from Dharwad – the first case of Omicron in the district – tested positive for Covid on 5 December. According to a health department release, he was treated in home isolation and is presently relieved of symptoms. He had four primary contacts and 133 secondary contacts, all of whom tested negative for COVID-19.
Now, omicrons have been detected in six districts of Karnataka: Bengaluru, Belagavi, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Dharwad and Shivamogga. The first two cases of Omicron in India were reported from Karnataka on 2 December.
