sequel to Akshay Kumar And Paresh Rawal starrer Oh My God, which released in 2012, is here. Sharing a new poster of the film, Akshay announced the release date of the film. While the first part featured the ‘Khiladi’ actor as Lord Krishna, he will be seen as Lord Shiva in Oh My God 2, which also stars Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. The film will be released in theaters on August 11. Sharing the poster, Akshay wrote, “Aa rahe hai hum, aayenge aap bhi. 11th August. In theatres. OMG 2.”
Yami Gautam, who plays the female lead in the film, also shared the poster announcing the date. She wrote, “The date is locked! #OMG2 releasing in theaters on August 11, 2023. See you there!” What is worrying the fans is that OMG 2 will clash with Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel’s upcoming film Gadar 2: The Katha Continues. It is the sequel to the 2001 original, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha.
Directed by Amit Rai, the film ‘OMG – Oh My God!’ is a spiritual sequel to Akshay Kumar started shooting for the film in October 2021 in Madhya Pradesh. Following this, he shared the first-look poster of the film, and wrote, “Karta kare na kare shiv kare so hoye. Recently, Akshay traveled to Uttarakhand to offer prayers at the Kedarnath temple and seek blessings. In a video, the actor was seen talking to some people inside the campus after the darshan. Yellow and red colors were also applied on his forehead. After coming out of the temple, Akshay greeted his fans with folded hands. People were heard cheering and raising slogans as soon as the actor left the temple. Dressed in a black outfit, the actor radiated a serene aura as he trekked to seek blessings.
