Officials Work Overtime For 100% Vaccination Of Children | Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: In a bid to ensure 100% vaccination of children between 15-17 and 12-14 years of age, officials of the health department are working overtime to meet the target by month-end in Prayagraj. Till August 20, at least 91.70% children in the age group of 15-17 years and 86.78% in age group of 12-14 years were fully vaccinated in Sangam city. While around 98.51% of children in the age group of 15-17 years have taken their first dose and 97.47% kids of 12-14 years too got their the first shot in Prayagraj district.
Additional CMO and District Immunization Officer (DIO) Dr Teerath Lal told TOI “The health authorities have set a target to administer jabs to a total of 4,17,616 children in the age group of 15 and 17 years and 2,52,416 children in the age group of 12-14 years in the Prayagraj district”.
He, however, said “more vaccination teams have been roped in to complete the task and teams are also holding special vaccination camps at educational institutes to cover each and every child so that 100% kids are vaccinated by month-end.”
