Bhubaneswar: Orissa Gross GST collection registered a growth of 64% which includes Central GST (CGST), State GST (SGST), Integrated GST (CGST).IGST) and cess November The total collection is estimated to be Rs 4,136 crore as against Rs 2,528 crore collected during last November.
This collection is the highest among the major states as well as the highest ever gross collection of GST by the state since the introduction of the new tax regime, an official statement said.
The progressive GST collection till November of the current financial year 2021-22 has been pegged at Rs 28,032 crore as compared to Rs 17,229 crore collected till the same period of the previous fiscal, said the data released by the office of the state GST commissioner’s office. The collection till November of the financial year 2019-20 stood at Rs 19,366.
The SGST collection in November is estimated to be Rs 1,157 crore, an increase of almost 70% over the previous November collection as the SGST collection in the previous November is estimated to be Rs 681 crore.
According to the data, the SGST collection till November of the current fiscal is estimated at Rs 7,977 crore, as against Rs 5,013 crore till November of the previous fiscal. In the financial year 2019-20 till November, the SGST collection was Rs 5661 crore.
Besides SGST, the state has collected Rs 1,001 crore under CGST, Rs 1,223 crore under IGST and Rs 735 crore under cess during November.
“The increase during November is a result of increase in collections from automobile, mining and manufacturing sectors. Moreover, regular return checks by the circle along with non-filer management and enforcement activities have resulted in better compliance by the taxpayers,” said a senior official in the GST commissioner’s office.
as far as tub As regards collection from petroleum products and liquor, the state has registered a growth of over 40% with total collection of Rs 844 crore as compared to Rs 601 crore during November last year. Out of the total VAT collected, the collection from petroleum products is Rs 675 crores while the collection from liquor is estimated to be Rs 168 crores during the month.
