City Hospital in Berhampur is part of ‘Mo Hospital, Mo Garba’ campaign

Berhampur: On the lines of the state government’s ‘Mo School’ and ‘Mo College’ initiatives, the Ganjam administration has decided to lead a campaign called ‘Mo Hospital, Mo Garba’ (My Hospital, My Pride). To strengthen the health facilities of the district.
This will include blood donation, mass cleaning and tree plantation campaigns apart from giving gifts to improve hospital infrastructure, similar to the transformation of high schools under the government’s 5T initiative.
The district administration had received praise from MPs and several other officials for visiting different areas of Ganjam to assess the impact of the school transformation project. Already 50 renovated high schools were inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Pantik in August, 83 more such schools will be inaugurated next month.
District Collector (Ganjam) Vijay Amrita Kulange said, “At present, we are focusing on transforming and filling the infrastructure gap of health centers with community participation.”
“Though the plan was drawn up last year, it could not pick up pace due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative would involve 28 community health centres, 90 primary health centers and a district headquarters hospital,” he said.
The Ganjam administration has successfully implemented the ‘Mo School’ program with an earning of over Rs 10 crore in the district for the development of school infrastructure. The Chief Minister had launched the ‘Mo School Campaign’ on Children’s Day in 2017.
