A man, who spent his childhood working as a laborer in Berunapadi village of Odisha’s Keonjhar district and eventually became a doctor after overcoming adversities in his life, has gifted his village a free world-class school. given in

According to Pradeep Sethi, who studied at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences, despite becoming a doctor in the national capital, he longed for his village.

About 15 years after completing his studies and starting practice, Sethi went back to his village, encouraged the villagers about education and bought land to build an international school.

Meanwhile, many villagers also joined him and donated their land to start the school, which later became a large educational institution.

According to Sethi, he did not want his efforts to be limited to just one school.

The institute is equipped with all world-class facilities and will have expert faculty from abroad and celebrities like Jubin Nautiyal for music, Sonu Nigam, former captain of Indian cricket team Ravi Shastri for sports, Rajiv Bajaj for business.

The school is built for children who are extremely poor and unable to afford education. Presently this school is built in 10 acres which will be increased to 20 acres later. About 2500 students can be enrolled in the school.

According to Sethi, no fee is charged from any student for any work in the school. Several skill development and placement courses will be developed in the institute with classes 1 to 12. About 50 more new classrooms are being added to the school.

The director of the school said that the educational institution tries to replicate the academic standards of Ivy League universities like Stanford and Harvard.

Apart from this, many vocational courses like fisheries, information have also been started here technology and science, among others.
