Nutritionist devised a diet plan for women in their 40s battling extra kilos

Women work hard to look fit and young, whether it is a scheduled diet or strict workouts. But at some point, it becomes difficult to burn off the extra calories and experience weight gain around their belly area even after exercising.

This happens because women in the age group of 30 to 40 years have to face some major changes in the body. For example, low metabolism, increased sugar intake and most importantly exhaustion.

Are you dealing with the same thing? If yes, then there is nothing to worry about. Nutritionist Anjali Mukherjee often shares her insights on fitness on Instagram and recently posted some tips to maintain fitness after 40.

In her post, Anjali wrote that no matter how much effort a woman puts into maintaining a regular healthy diet and fitness routine, crossing 40 doesn’t help her look younger.

He also said that one of the main reasons for weight gain is that the metabolic rate decreases for women after 40. As a result, they don’t burn calories as efficiently as before.

Here are some tips by nutritionists to stay fit after 40:

Healthy Snacking: Women should snack on healthy foods such as nuts and seeds—usually almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

Exercise, protein intake: After the age of 40, women should increase their protein intake and do regular exercise.

Conscious Diet: Nutritionists suggest eating whole grains, pulses, fruits and fresh vegetables. He also recommends adding fibers such as sangria, chia seeds and isabgol once or twice a day for health benefits.

Enough Sleep: The nutritionist recommended that women above 40 should maintain a proper sleep cycle to give rest to the body and mind.

Taking Supplements: He also talks about taking specific health supplements to address the deficiencies.
