Actress-politician Nusrat Jahan has given birth to a son. The baby was born at around 1 pm in a reputed private hospital in Kolkata. The TMC MP’s personal life has been making headlines for some time now, because of her marriage to Nikhil Jain in Turkey, which she later declared invalid in India. Nusrat issued a statement calling Nikhil his ‘live-in’ partner. Nusrat had issued this statement amid speculations of a rift in their marriage and reports that she was living separately and was pregnant.
Her former live-in partner Nikhil had filed a case against Nusrat in the court. Trial is going on right now, but he has sent best wishes to Nusrat and her newborn. When contacted, he said, “I wish him and the baby a healthy life. May the child grow up and prosper in life. My differences with him didn’t stop me from wishing him all the best for the newborn. I wish him all the best.” May the child be super healthy and have a prosperous future.” But he said that he has no feelings with Nushrat, he is indifferent to the news of her delivery.
Reports also stated that Nushrat is now dating Bengali actor Yash Dasgupta, who is her co-star from the film ‘SOS Kolkata’. When Nusrat was taken to the hospital on the night of 25 August, Yash was with Nusrat. Yash took Nusrat from her Palm Avenue home to her house in Tollygunge. After spending some time there he took her back to his place. Then finally after some time Yash took Nusrat to the hospital and stayed with her the whole time. When asked about Nushrat’s health, Yash replied, “Mother and baby are healthy and doing well.”
