Nushrat Barucha starrer Janhit Mein released on 10 June and received mixed reviews from both audiences and critics. However, looks like the film failed to rule the box office on its opening day. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film released in public interest on Friday collected Rs 43 crore across 542 screens across the country. However, the film’s earnings are expected to increase over the weekend.

However, it should also be noted that on the first day tickets were available in all the theaters for just Rs 100 – both single screen and multiplex. Earlier it was also reported that the multiplex owners were also a bit confused and unhappy with this decision to cap the ticket prices. A senior official of the multiplex chain told Bollywood The ruckus that such decisions only create confusion for theatres. “Ideally, the producers cannot fix the ticket prices. When such offers are launched, there are a lot of misunderstandings. Maybe some theater tickets cost as much as Rs. 100. In such cinemas, some guests get upset and argue that when the makers have announced that the film will be sold at Rs. 100, why is that special cinema charge Rs. 200? This creates a strange scenario. If they wanted to have some lucrative plan, they could have told us that they are reducing their distributor share and theaters can accordingly sell tickets at discounted prices,” the source claimed, quoting the entertainment portal.
Released in Janhit, Manokamna revolves around Tripathi (played by Nushrat Bharucha), a condom sales executive. The film is directed by Jai Basantu Singh and also stars Anud Singh Dhaka, Bijayendra Kala and Vijay Raj in lead roles.

Overall, the film makes a good, entertaining watch, and it has an important message that is being conveyed to the masses.
