Part of the BJP’s action was more than what was happening in the Gulf countries. Outrage spread there; Anger among the local population and calls for boycott of Indian products increased. Historically, India has had good relations with most of the Gulf countries. Oil, gas and trade are also part of this relationship. Also, a lot of Indians work in Gulf countries.
