“We are using digital tools to coordinate and manage things between these departments, but we need full strength to function effectively. On this we have corresponded with the government and got assurance from Chandigarh. Hope all the posts will be filled soon.
Officials attributed the lack of staff to the reluctance of bureaucrats to join the service in that area.
“The recruitment of staff in Nuh has been a challenge. People see it as punitive posting and don’t want to continue it. Same is the case with doctors and teachers,” said a senior government official.
Sources in the Nuh administration told TOI that while local people are often blamed for vaccine hesitation, the main issue is the lack of collective mobilization and supervision efforts.
Departments like Anganwadi and ICDS Those entrusted with nutrition and vaccination barely have enough staff to manage the documentation work.
“The government should make it mandatory for all bureaucrats to serve a fixed term in each district, failing which their promotions and other incentives should be withdrawn.
