NSDC offers a range of courses from BFSI to IT, for upskilled underprivileged youth

National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with UDAN CARE to make underprivileged youth employable and financially independent. Under the partnership, the latter will offer courses on BFSI, IT-ITes, Logistics, Retail and Telecom.

The courses will be available for students in the age group of 18-25 on various criteria. Beneficiaries will be identified from resettlement colonies and slums in Delhi-NCR. Candidates have to pay fee within the range of Rs 300-500 per month for each course. There is also a provision of freeship for the students coming from disadvantaged families.

Who can apply?

Those enrolled in the second or third year of an undergraduate or graduate degree can apply for the courses. Enrolled in the first year of graduation, those who demonstrate high creative skills and/or in exceptional circumstances will also be considered for application.

Apart from this, candidates from low economic background whose family income does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum can apply. In exceptional circumstances the monthly income of the family is more than 2.5 lakhs, they are also eligible to apply.
