The Android 13 update for the Nothing Phone (1) should be fully released in the coming weeks.
The Nothing OS 1.5.2 version based on Android 13 is stable and can be offered to the users, nothing is finally decided about it. The company has promised that the Android 13 update will be rolled out early this year and it looks like Carl and Pei are on track to deliver on that goal.
The update is being rolled out to those who got the beta version earlier this year. Once the company feels that this version is bug-free and doesn’t have any issues, we expect the full public release to be released to all Nothing Phone (1) users.
Nothing founder Pei has talked about improving the software experience of the phone, which seems to be the main objective until we see another smartphone from the company this year. After working with OnePlus (and building his own brand), Pei understands the importance of a fluid software experience and with the Nothing OS version 1.5.2, we’re expecting to see vast improvements to the device.
The nothing phone (1) is likely to see improved battery life, as Pei said during internal tests. They’ve also managed to reduce power consumption, which means less heating on the panel. The changelog also mentions that app startup speed has been increased by up to 71 percent, and a new set of features for the Glyph interface.
