Nothing Closes $96 Mn Round Ahead Of Phone (2) Launch

New Delhi: London-based consumer technology brand Nothing on Wednesday announced a $96 million fundraising round led by Highland Europe, alongside existing investors GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures and C Capital, as well as house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia. Participation is also included. With this round, Nothing’s total funding has reached $250 million, as the company has also crossed 1.5 million product sales.

“In just two years, we have assembled one of the strongest teams in the industry and sold over 1.5 million devices worldwide,” said Carl Pei, CEO and co-founder of Nothing.

“It is clear that there is a real demand for an innovative challenger in the consumer tech industry, and with this new round of funding, we are better positioned than ever to realize our vision of making tech fun again,” said Pei. I’ve never been.”

Nothing, which is set to launch a sophisticated phone (2) in India on July 11, employs more than 450 people in seven offices around the world.
The phone (2) has a lower carbon footprint than its predecessor as a result of the company’s ongoing sustainability initiatives.

Highland Europe, a London-based venture capital firm focusing on high-potential technology companies, made the investment based on Nothing’s success to date and future potential. Highland Europe partner Tony Zappala led the most recent round and will join Nothing’s board.

According to Zappala, “we firmly believe that combined with an exceptional team, nothing really has anything exclusive to offer”. “We are excited to support Nothing as they take on the consumer tech giants and challenge existing norms,” he added.

The company has so far launched the Phone (1), the true wireless audio device Ear (2) and the Ear (Stick).
