Talking to Aaj Tak, Akshay Kumar named his favorite Indian cricketers from the current team. “Currently, my favorite cricketers are KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan,” he said. Kumar’s reply has taken everyone by surprise as most of the celebrities either name Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma.
KL Rahul is all set to tour South Africa for a three-match Test series. Shikhar Dhawan was soon expected to get a call from the selectors for the ODI series. However, considering his recent performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, there are chances that he may have to wait a little longer.
Apart from this, youngsters like Rituraj Gaikwad and Venkatesh Iyer have consistently impressed everyone with their performances. KL Rahul has also strengthened his grip along with Rohit Sharma as an opener. Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Rituraj Gaikwad are in contention for the third opener.
