North Central Railway gets new General Manager, IRSEE’s Pramod Kumar takes charge. Allahabad News – Times of India

Prayagraj: Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE) officer Pramod Kumar on Friday took over as the general manager of North Central Railway (NCR). The new GM is a 1984 batch officer of the Indian Engineering Service and has served the Indian Railways in various capacities.
According to chief public relations officer (CPRO), of NCR, Kumar, who has his own lien Central Railwaystarted his career as AEE/TD at Agra for a brief period (during probation). After which he worked in the junior and senior scales at Chittaranjan Locomotive Works. He worked in various disciplines of Electrical Engineering in Jhansi and Jabalpur divisions of Central Railway.
He took the lead in setting up of Electric Locoshed at New Katni Junction. One of his notable contributions was commissioning the first high rise OHE of IR while he was stationed here. railway electrification, Jaipur.
Apart from his vast experience in technical issues related to domain knowledge, Kumar has a vast experience in General Administration.
The new GM, who hails from a village near Khurja in Bulandshahr, has an old relationship with NCR. He is an alumnus of Dayal Bagh Educational Institute, Agra, from where he graduated in 1984 with a degree in B.Sc. Engineering (Electrical).
His association with the city of Sangam dates back to 2006, when he served as Deputy Chief Vigilance Officer, Corps and then NCR Headquarters As Chief Electrical Services Engineer till 2009, where he was involved in planning and execution of various infrastructure works.
At a critical juncture when NCR is passing through a vibrant phase with a focus on infrastructure expansion, electrification of missing links and strengthening its health infrastructure among others, Kumar with his vast and varied experience of NCR. Looking forward to joining as the new leader. Incentives to streamline the ongoing infrastructure works and train operations.
After taking charge, Pramod Kumar says that his priority will be to complete the ongoing works at the earliest without any time limit and ensure safe and efficient train operations in NCR.
